FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Sophomore Lauren Long remained in action on Monday for the Washington and Lee women's tennis team, but she fell in the semifinals of the ITA Southeast Regional Championship singles draw in three sets.

Long faced off against Divya Venkatarama of Carnegie Mellon University and found herself down a set, 6-4. Long came back in the second set for a 6-3 win to force a third set, but Venakatarama duplicated the first-set result with a 6-4 win to claim the match.

Long can still earn an at-large bid to the ITA Cup in Rome, Ga. Those selections will be made in the coming days. As a team, the Generals will return to action on Wednesday when they host Randolph at 3:00 p.m.
