KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released its 2022-23 NABC Honors Court and Team Academic Excellence Awards on Thursday, and Washington and Lee earned the team award, with six individuals named to the Honors Court.
Recent graduates
Jack Lewis (Rockville, Md./Sidwell Friends),
Cheick Toure (Silver Spring, Md./Sandy Spring Friends School) and
Sam Wise (Winchester, Va./John Handley) and rising seniors
Jack d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa. / Radnor),
Carter Dummett (Marlborough, Mass. / St. George's) and
Drew Harrell (Collingswood, N.J. / Paul VI) all made the team.
To earn a spot on the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior varsity player, while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher. To garner a Team Excellence Award, a program must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better for the 2022-23 academic year.
The Generals finished the 2022-23 season with an 18-8 overall record and an 11-5 mark in the ODAC.
