BALTIMORE – The 22nd-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team fell by a 6-3 final score to No. 15 Johns Hopkins in Saturday's regular season finale.

Lauren Long (Carmel, Ind. / Park Tudor) and junior
Gabi Moss (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Chaparral) each went 2-0 on the day to produce the three W&L (15-6) points. They paired at the top doubles spot to earn an 8-2 win over Kamila Wong and Jay Xiao to give the Generals a 1-0 match lead.
After the Blue Jays (15-3) claimed victory at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, Long and Moss were back in action at the top two singles positions. Long's match was last to finish on the day, as she needed three sets to down MaryBeth Hurley, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3. Moss saw Xiao again at No. 2 singles and won in straight sets by a final margin of 6-0, 6-4.

Grace Lorenz (Oklahoma City, Okla. / Epic Charter Schools) forced a third set at No. 4 with a 7-5 win in set two, after falling 5-7 in the first, but Anjali Devireddy won in third, 6-4. Junior
Izzy Koziol (Wilton, Conn. / Wilton), first-year
Riho Iijima (Portland, Ore. / Westview) and junior
Margaret Carlton (Matthews, N.C. / Charlotte Christian) rounded out the Generals to compete in singles, with straight-set losses at No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
The Generals, with a 10-0 ODAC record this season, have earned the top overall seed for the upcoming ODAC Women's Tennis Championship. They will await results from around the ODAC this weekend to see who they will host on Tuesday in the No. 1/No. 8 quarterfinal.
