VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The No. 25 Washington and Lee women's tennis team swam past Virginia Wesleyan with ease on Sunday in a 9-0 sweep.

First-years Grace Lorenz (Oklahoma City, Okla. / Epic Charter Schools) and Riho Iijima (Portland, Ore. / Westview) swept Maya Brown and Kristina Abrams at No. 2, and senior Gracie Caplice (Richmond, Va. / St. Catherine's School) and first-year Jordan Kach (Warrenton, Va. / Seton School) did the same at No. 3. First-year Lauren Long (Carmel, Ind. / Park Tudor) and junior Gabi Moss (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Chaparral) set Alexa Brewster and Christine Zalameda aside, 8-1, at the top spot.

Iijima finished the day without dropping a single game after a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, while first-year Karolina Moss (Scottsdale, Ariz. / Chaparral) matched that result at No. 4. Junior Izzy Koziol (Wilton, Conn. / Wilton) (6-0, 6-1), first-year Isabella Custard (Dallas, Texas / Episcopal) (6-0, 6-1) and Caplice (6-1, 6-0) each only dropped one game across No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, and Long rounded out the wins, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1.
