Of the nine matches played on the day, six saw zero games dropped by Generals (8-2, 7-0 ODAC) players. First-year
Izzy Koziol (Wilton, Conn. / Wilton) and junior
Claire Lacksen (Watkinsville, Ga. / Oconee County) led it off with an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles. First-year
Gabi Moss (Paradise Valley, Ariz. / Chaparral) paired with sophomore
Becket Waters (Raleigh, N.C. / Needham B. Broughton) at No. 1 doubles for an 8-5 win and first-year
Nell Covington (Dallas, Texas / Highland Park) and sophomore
Gracie Caplice (Richmond, Va. / St. Catherine's School) defeated Kelly Hudak and Caitlin Bennett, 8-1, at No. 3.
In singles, senior
Valerie Marshall (Arlington, Va. / Yorktown) (2), first-year
Margaret Carlton (Matthews, N.C. / Charlotte Christian) (3), Waters (4), Lacksen (5) and Caplice (6) all won by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Moss closed the match with a win in straight sets over Jahveesha Combs, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles.
The Generals also take on Lynchburg today, looking for two wins on the day. That match got underway at 5:00 pm on the W&L Upper Courts.
