LEXINGTON, Va. – The 32nd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team posted an 8-1 victory over Bridgewater College on Thursday afternoon at the Duchossois Tennis Center.
The Eagles (1-5, 0-4) provided little resistance to the Generals in doubles, as the Blue & White swept the three points without dropping a game.
In singles play, Bridgewater claimed a win at the No. 1 position, but W&L took the remaining five matches in straight sets. Sophomore
Evan Brady (Glen Head, N.Y./Chaminade) surrendered just one game in posting a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Matthew Gordon at the No. 2 position. First-years
Connor Coleman (Birmingham, Ala. / Briarwood Christian) and

The win improved W&L to 34-0 all-time against the Eagles and moved the Generals to 4-1 overall this spring. The Blue & White also carries a 4-0 mark in conference play.
Washington and Lee continues a busy week on Saturday when it hosts Hampden-Sydney for a 2:00 pm match.
