Parker and Prather post solid placings as W&L wraps up regional play

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – First-year Dutch Prather and senior Heys Parker were in action for the Washington and Lee men's tennis team on Saturday at the ITA Southeast Region Championships, and both posted strong finishes to wrap up their tournament appearances.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM DAY 3:
  • Both Generals opened the day in the round of 16 of Championship Doubles and faced off against the fifth-seeded tandem of Chakor Sankaran Rajendra and Allan Xu of Johns Hopkins. The match went to a tiebreak before the Blue Jays edged the Generals, 7-5.
  • Prather then made the first appearance in a regional singles quarterfinal since Evan Erb did so in 2023 and put up a strong showing despite falling against Haverford's Owen Kilmer. Kilmer scratched out a 7-6 (4) opening-set win before taking the second set, 6-1.
UP NEXT:
The Generals will wrap up their fall season with one final dual match on Tuesday afternoon at Bridgewater at 3:00 p.m.
