Dutch Prather advanced through the singles Round of 64 to highlight the Washington and Lee men's tennis team's efforts on the opening day of the 2026 ITA Southeast Region Championships on Thursday.
OPENING DAY SUMMARIES:
- Imorde posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over Jacob Nelson of St. Mary's (Md.) to cruise into Friday's Round of 32. First-year Dutch Prather, playing as a 9-seed, also won in straight sets in his first collegiate tournament. He downed Carlos Lana Crous (Franklin & Marshall), 6-2, 6-4.
- Senior Heys Parker and sophomore Todd Cannaliato were also in action in Championship Singles for the Generals. Both will compete out of the consolation bracket on Friday after losses on Thursday afternoon.
UP NEXT:
The second day of the regional tournament will commence on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. with two W&L doubles duos competing in Championship Doubles. The Championship Singles Round of 32 will get underway around 12:00 p.m., with consolation matches later in the afternoon.
