VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team clinched the top seed for the ODAC Tournament with an 8-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday afternoon in Virginia Beach.
The Generals posted a 3-0 lead following the doubles play and won five of the six singles matches to cruise to the win.
The Blue & White is now 11-6 overall and 10-0 in the ODAC. The Marlins fell to 14-9 overall and 9-2 in conference play.
W&L will finish its ODAC regular-season slate on Saturday when it travels to Randolph-Macon for a 2:00 pm contest.
