GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team notched an 8-1 victory over Guilford on Wednesday afternoon in Greensboro.
The Generals swept the doubles points, winning the No. 1 doubles match in a tie-breaker. In singles play, W&L took five of the six matches, dropping only No. 2 singles due to a player retiring.
The win improved W&L to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Guilford slipped to 0-1 overall and in ODAC matches.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Sunday when it travels to Johns Hopkins for a 12:00 pm contest.
