Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. – The 15th-ranked and top-seeded Washington and Lee women's tennis team defeated eighth-seeded Sweet Briar, 5-0, in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament on Tuesday afternoon at the W&L Lower Tennis Courts.
The Generals dropped just one total game en route to sweeping the doubles competition for a 3-0 lead. W&L then closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles by first-year Ashton Jenne (Cleveland, Tenn. / Baylor School) and a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles by sophomore Anna Kreynin (Mequon, Wis. / Homestead).
With the victory, W&L improves to 16-7 overall. The Vixens end their season with an 8-11 overall record.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday in the ODAC Semifinals, which will be hosted by Virginia Wesleyan. The Generals will take on the winner of a match between fourth-seeded Bridgewater and fifth-seeded Randolph at a time to be determined.
