LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Christopher Newport on Sunday afternoon at the W&L Lower Courts.
CNU swept the doubles points and took five of the six singles matches, winning in three sets at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
With the loss, the Generals fell to 9-6 overall. Christopher Newport improved to 13-8.
Washington and Lee will be the top seed for the ODAC Tournament and will host eighth-seeded Shenandoah on Wednesday at a time to be determined.
