LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team dropped a heart-breaking 5-4 decision to 16th-ranked Mary Washington on Saturday at the Duchossois Tennis Center.

W&L fell behind 3-0 after the doubles competition, dropping the No. 3 doubles match in a tiebreaker.  In singles action, the Generals posted wins at Nos. 1, 2, 4 and 6, but just couldn't get over the hump to take the match.

Mary Washington improved to 8-2 overall, while the Generals fell to 3-3.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Guilford for a 4:00 pm match.
