Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. – The 12th-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team posted an 8-1 triumph over 26th-ranked Christopher Newport on Sunday at the Duchossois Tennis Center.
The Generals swept all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles play, where they went on to claim five matches to reach the finals margin of 8-1.
W&L improves to 3-0 overall with the win, while the Captains fall to 1-2 with the loss.
The Blue and White returns to action on Tuesday, when it hosts Randolph at 4:00 pm and also travels to Sweet Briar for a 4:00 pm match.
