VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team won its ODAC-opener over Virginia Wesleyan by a score of 9-0 on Friday afternoon in Virginia Beach.
The Generals swept the doubles by dropping just one point en route to a 3-0 lead. Then, in singles, W&L won all but nine points in sweeping all six matches.
With the win, the Blue & White improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the ODAC. Virginia Wesleyan fell to 0-1 overall.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Sunday when it hosts 16th-ranked Johns Hopkins for a 10:00 am match.
