MOUNT BERRY, Ga. — The Washington and Lee volleyball team swept Millsaps, 3-0, on Saturday, and held the Majors (1-2) below 18 points in each set.

The Generals (3-1) took the opening set, 25-11, won the second, 25-17, and closed out the match in the third, 25-13.

W&L played a majority of its roster over the three sets with senior middle blocker Mackenzie Shand (Saline, Mich./Saline) tallying six kills and five blocks. Senior middle blocker Ellie Darbyshire (Savannah, Ga./Savannah Country Day) had five kills on eight attempts with one error for a .500 hitting percentage.

Junior setter Elena West (Roanoke, Va./Northside) notched 18 assists and junior defensive specialist Katie Volk (Lancaster, Calif./Quartz Hill) recorded 11 digs. Further statistics were not immediately available after the match.

The Generals next host the W&L Invitational on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Blue and White will host Centre at 5:00 pm and Averett at 7:30 pm.
