Four Generals Garner CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Four members of the Washington and Lee University women's volleyball team were selected to the 2025 Division III Women's Volleyball College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The W&L honorees included senior Riley Debiec, juniors Grace Mitchener and Vivi Vasquez and sophomore Emily Schellenberg. Debiec earned her third career CSC Academic All-District citation, Michener and Vasquez were recognized for the second time, while Schellenberg was honored for the first time.


The CSC (formerly CoSIDA) recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes are eligible for this award by maintaining a 3.50 grade point average or better while playing in 90% of the program's matches or starting 66% of matches played. This award is nominated and voted upon by members of CSC. 


Debiec, Vasquez and Mitchener were selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Jan. 13, 2026.
