7/23/2026 12:00:00 PM

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Washington and Lee University women's volleyball team earned their 13th consecutive American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award while being named to the Honor Roll for the fourth-straight year.

The Team Academic Award was established during the 1992-93 academic year to honor volleyball programs that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale. This year marked another record-breaking period for academic achievement, with 1,432 programs nationwide receiving the distinction.

The Blue and White were among 233 NCAA Division III women's volleyball programs to earn the award while ranking in the top 20% of GPAs within their division. The recognition marks the 13th consecutive season they have earned the Team Academic Award and the 17th time in the past 21 years.

On the court, the Generals posted a 23-10 overall record with an 8-3 mark in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play. They captured their third straight league title and 21st overall while advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season and the 18th time in program history.

W&L kicks off their 2026 campaign on Sept. 1 in North Carolina as they take on Greensboro College at 6 p.m. To view the entire 2026 schedule, click HERE.
