SEWANEE, Tenn. -- The 25th-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team succumbed to 34th-ranked Sewanee, falling to the Tigers by a score of 7-2 on Friday afternoon.
The Tigers took two of the three doubles matches and junior Will Bannister (Bath, England / Beechen Cliff School) posted the line singles victory for W&L at No. 3 singles.
The loss dropped W&L to 11-7, while Sewanee improved to 15-6.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Emory & Henry for a 12:00 pm contest.
