SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- The 20th-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team could not overcome injury in dropping a 7-2 decision to 31st-ranked Swarthmore on Saturday.
The Generals were playing without their top two players, senior Michael Holt (Henrico, Va. / Mills Godwin) and junior Jordan Krasner (Rockville, Md. / Walter Johnson). The Garnet Tide jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the doubles competition and never looked back in claiming the win.
The loss dropped W&L to 9-3 overall, while Swarthmore improved to 5-5 overall.
Washington and Lee returns to action next Saturday when it travels to sixth-ranked Carnegie Mellon for a 10:00 am match.
