LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 20th-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team won its third straight match, posting an 8-1 win over Roanoke on Saturday at the Duchossois Tennis Center.
The Generals took No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to assume a 2-1 lead heading into singles play. In singles, W&L dropped just 13 individual games in winning each of the six matches in straight sets.
W&L improved to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in the ODAC, while the Maroons slipped to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the ODAC.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Bridgewater for a 3:00 pm match.
