LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 32nd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team improved to 2-0 with a 6-3 win over 37th-ranked Christopher Newport on Saturday afternoon at the Duchossois Tennis Center.
W&L took two of the three doubles matches and won at Nos. 1-2 singles and 5-6 singles in posting its second victory of the day. The Generals knocked off Randolph-Macon earlier in the day by a score of 5-1.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Feb. 25 when it travels to California for a pair of matches. The Generals will take on Cal Lutheran on Feb. 25 at 5:00 pm and Redlands on Feb. 26 at 5:00 pm.
