W&L Men's Tennis Drops Christopher Newport, 6-3

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 36th-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team posted a 6-3 victory over 38th-ranked Christopher Newport on Friday evening at the Duchossois Tennis Center.

The Generals took two of the three doubles matches and then logged wins in four of the six singles matches to record their first non-conference victory of the season.

With the win, W&L improved to 9-3 overall. CNU dropped to 7-4 with the loss.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Hampden-Sydney for a 1:30 pm match.
