HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- The 24th-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team continued its undefeated ODAC streak with an 8-1 victory over the Tigers of Hampden-Sydney on Saturday afternoon at the H-SC Tennis Courts.
With the win, W&L is now 12-3 overall and 10-0 in the ODAC, while H-SC fell to 6-6 overall and 6-4 in conference play.
The Generals dropped a close 9-8 loss at No. 1 doubles to start the match, but bounced back to take both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles by a score of 8-2.
The Blue and White continued to thrive, taking all six singles matches over the Tigers. Junior Taylor Shamshiri (Austin, Texas / ATA College Prep) led the way, winning at No. 1 singles over J.B. Weaver by a score of 6-0, 6-0.
The Generals will return to the court on Monday when they travel to Oglethorpe for a 3:00 pm match.
