LEXINGTON, Va. – The 22nd-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team continued its winning ways by posting a 9-0 win over Christopher Newport on Saturday morning on senior day.
W&L improved to 11-1 on the season, while the Captains fell to 3-7 overall.
The Generals swept all three doubles matches, 8-0, to gain the early 3-0 advantage. W&L continued it success in singles play, dropping just three games to the Captains, as they won all six matches and secure the 9-0 win.
The Blue and White will be back in action next Saturday when it travels to No. 8 Carnegie Mellon for a 1:00 pm contest.
