W&L Men's Tennis Downs Christopher Newport, 7-2

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 22nd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team notched a 7-2 win over Christopher Newport on Saturday afternoon at the W&L Courts.

The Generals swept the doubles points to take a 3-0 lead into the singles action. In singles, W&L claimed each of the top four matches, while dropping matches at Nos. 5-6.

With the win, W&L improved to 10-2 overall. CNU dropped to 7-4 with the loss.

The Generals return to action on Sunday as they travel to Hampden-Sydney for a 1:30 pm match.
