VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The 23rd-ranked and top-seeded Washington and Lee men's tennis team advanced to the ODAC Championship match with a 5-0 victory over fifth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday at the Everett Tennis Center.
The Generals claimed all three doubles points, dropping just seven total games to enter singles play with a 3-0 lead. In singles, sophomore Christopher Hu (Ridgewood, N.J. / Ridgewood) and first-year Brian Krouskos (Alpharetta, Ga. / Mount Pisgah Christian) finished up first to give W&L the win.
With the victory, the Generals improved to 16-5 overall, while the Marlins dropped to 11-12 for the season.
W&L advances to Sunday's championship match where it will face either second-seeded Bridgewater or third-seeded Emory & Henry. The match will begin at 10:00 am.
