GAMBIER, Ohio -- The 23rd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team fell to second-ranked Kenyon College on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 8-1.
The Generals dropped all three doubles matches and managed just one singles victory as sophomore Christopher Hu (Ridgewood, N.J. /Ridgewood) defeated C.J. Williams, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4. Senior Hayden White (Baltimore, Md./Towson) had his 14-match winning streak in singles snapped with a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Michael Razumovsky at No. 1. White's last loss had been to the top player for Division I Elon back on February 16.
With the loss, W&L fell to 14-5 for the season. Kenyon improved to 18-3 win the win.
Washington and Lee will return to action on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament. The time and opponent are to be determined.
