LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 26th-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team fell to 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon by a score of 5-4 on Saturday afternoon at the W&L Courts.
The Generals took two of the three doubles points, claiming wins at both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. However, the Tartans posted wins in four of the six singles matches to walk away with the win.
The win improved CMU to 9-3 overall, while the Generals fell to 12-4 overall.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Sunday when it hosts North Carolina Wesleyan for a 2:00 pm contest.
