ATLANTA, Ga. – The 15th-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team was blanked by 2nd-ranked Amherst, 5-0, on Sunday at the Fab 7 Tournament, hosted by Emory University.
The Generals fall to 11-4 on the year, while Amherst improves to 5-1 overall.
The Lord Jeffs easily swept all three doubles matches to hold a 3-0 advantage heading into singles action. AC then recorded wins at No. 2 and No. 4 singles to close out the match that was played to decision.
W&L returns to the court on Wednesday, when it faces Lynchburg at home and Randolph on the road. Both matches are set to begin at 4:00 pm.
