LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 23rd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team posted a 5-1 victory over Bridgewater on Thursday afternoon at the Duchossois Tennis Center.
The Generals took two of the three doubles matches and received singles wins from senior Hayden White (Baltimore, Md. / Towson) at No. 1, sophomore Taylor Shamshiri (Austin, Texas / ATA College Prep) at No. 2 and sophomore Christopher Hu (Ridgewood, N.J. / Ridgewood) at No. 4 in winning for the eighth time in their last nine matches.
The win improved W&L to 9-3 overall and 7-0 in the ODAC, while Bridgewater fell to 4-6 overall, 1-1 in the conference.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday when it plays host to Shenandoah (10:00 am) and Hampden-Sydney (1:00 pm).
