HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- The 19th-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team recorded a 9-0 victory at Hampden-Sydney on Friday afternoon.
The Generals dropped just six games in doubles play and only 11 games at the six singles positions in posting their fourth straight win over the Tigers.
The win improved W&L to 12-4 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. With the loss, Hampden-Sydney fell to 5-7 overall and 4-5 in league play.
Washington and Lee, which has secured the top seed for the ODAC Tournament, will return to action on Sunday with a quarterfinal match against eighth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan at 2:00 pm.
