PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The fourth-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team dropped its second straight match, falling to fifth-ranked Carnegie Mellon, 5-4, in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Saturday.
The Generals split the six singles matches, winning at Nos. 1-2 and 4, but could not overcome dropping two of the three doubles matches.
With the loss, W&L fell to 14-5 overall, while the Tartans improved to 13-3 with the win.
Washington and Lee returns to action on April 16 as it takes on St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Fla.
