LEXINGTON, Va. – The third-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team completed its ODAC-packed day with a 7-0 win over Lynchburg on Thursday at the Duchossois Tennis Courts.
With the victory, W&L now holds a 12-2 overall record and a flawless 9-0 mark in conference play.
The Generals started the match with a 3-0 advantage after doubles action, ending the day with five wins at the No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 singles positions. No. 5 and 6 singles did not compete, as the teams only played to seven points.
Senior Jen Snyder (Highland Heights, Ohio/Gilmour Academy), junior Sallie Griffin (Warrenton, Va./Highland School) and first-year Lindsey Burke (Hilton Head, S.C./Hilton Head Island) each registered a 2-0 record against the Hornets.
W&L returns to action on Monday when they host Sweet Briar for a 4:30 pm contest.
