LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team opened its spring schedule with a 5-4 victory over Christopher Newport on Saturday afternoon at the Duchossois Tennis Center.
The Generals (1-0) dropped two of the three doubles matches and fell at No. 1 and No. 2 singles before winning each of the final four singles matches to take the come-from-behind victory.
With the loss, Christopher Newport fell to 0-1 on the season.
Washington and Lee will return to action on Thursday when it hosts Lynchburg for a 3:30 pm match.
