LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's tennis team saw its season come to an end with a 5-1 loss to North Carolina Wesleyan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday morning at the W&L Outdoor Courts.
The Battling Bishops (13-2) took a 2-1 lead following the doubles competition by posting wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
The Generals (15-4) then dropped matches at Nos. 3, 5 and 6 singles to fall by the final score of 5-1.
North Carolina Wesleyan advances to the third round on Sunday, when it will take on Emory University at 12:00 pm.
