LEXINGTON, Va. -- The No. 1 seed Washington and Lee women's tennis team advanced to the finals of the ODAC Tournament with a 5-0 decision over No. 5 seed Sweet Briar on Friday morning at the W&L Upper Courts.
W&L was victorious at all three doubles positions, and clinched the match with wins at No. 3 and No. 6 singles. The Generals improved to 17-6 overall, while Sweet Briar ended its season with a record of 12-5.
W&L returns to action in the ODAC Tournament championship match on Saturday at 10:00 am, facing the winner of the No. 2 seed Hollins vs. No. 3 seed Bridgewater match later today.
