LEXINGTON, Va. --The 22nd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis
team dropped a 6-3 decision to 14th-ranked University of Chicago on
Wednesday afternoon at the W&L Upper Courts.
The Generals were led by first-year Hayden White (Baltimore,
Md./Towson) and junior Will Hall (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape
Elizabeth), who both won their singles matches. White posted
a win at No. 1 singles, while Hall was victorious at No. 4 singles.
The No. 3 doubles team of Hall and sophomore Mac Davis
(Prospect, Ky./Kentucky Country Day) also posted a win on the day.
With the loss, W&L dropped to 8-5 overall and Chicago
improved to 8-5 with the win.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Saturday as it takes on
Johns Hopkins at Swarthmore at 10:00 am.
