W&L Women's Tennis Claims 19th ODAC Title

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The second-ranked and top-seeded Washington and Lee women's tennis team claimed its 19th Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship with a 5-0 victory over second-seeded Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon at the W&L Courts.

Following the event, the Generals had several athletes honored by the ODAC. Senior Katie Tabb (Minneapolis, Minn./Edina) was named the ODAC Player of the Year for the second-straight year, first-year Ellen Yeatman (Little Rock, Ark./Little Rock Central) was tabbed as the Rookie of the Year and Head Coach Eric Ishida earned his second-straight Coach of the Year honors.

The Generals (19-4) will now await word on their first round opponent in the NCAA Championships. The NCAA Tournament is set to begin on May 8th.
