W&L Men's Soccer Falls To Greensboro, 5-0

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Freshman Ibraheem Muhamad notched a hat trick to give the Greensboro College men's soccer team a 5-0 win over Washington and Lee on the second day of the CASL College Showcase at the SAS Complex in Raleigh, N.C.

Greensboro (1-2-1) led 2-0 at halftime and also got goals from freshman Robert Fricke and sophomore Galen Reid enroute to the victory.

Washington and Lee (0-2) was outshot 12-4 and had a 5-1 disadvantage in corner kicks.

Generals freshman goalkeeper Jim Tartaglia (Richmond, Va./J.R. Tucker) played the first half and junior Mike Stanton (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Olympia) was in goal for the final 45 minutes. The duo combined to make six saves.

Washington and Lee returns to action by opening its home schedule against Southern Virginia on Wednesday. The game is slated to begin at 4:00 pm.
