INDIANAPOLIS – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the 2026 Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship bracket on Sunday night, and Washington and Lee will travel to Christopher Newport University to play Gettysburg.
The 15th-ranked Generals (15-5) will face-off against the ninth-ranked Bullets (12-4) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Newport News, Va., in the second round of the tournament. The hosts and third-ranked Captains (16-3) will play either Transylvania (12-4) or Pfeiffer (15-2) in Saturday's first game at 12:00 p.m., with the Pioneers and Falcons meeting in the midweek first round.
Four of these five teams automatically qualified for this year's national tournament by winning their conference championship. W&L is fresh off an 18-8 win in the ODAC final today against Lynchburg, while the Bullets edged No. 8 Dickinson, 13-12, in the Centennial Conference Championship.
On the other side of the pod, Pfeiffer and Transylvania cruised to conference titles. The Falcons won the USA South, 23-7, against Southern Virginia, while the Pioneers shut out Hanover, 23-0, in the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference final.
The Captains are the only team in the pod to qualify for the tournament by way of an at-large bid. They fell by a final score of 10-9 in overtime against No. 5 Salisbury in the Coastal Lacrosse Conference championship game.
More information regarding this weekend's pod at Christopher Newport University will be released throughout this week. The Falcons and Pioneers will face-off on Wednesday in Misenheimer, N.C., to determine the fourth team traveling to Newport News.
