GREENWOOD, Ind. – The 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men's Tennis Academic All-District Team was announced on Tuesday, and Washington and Lee juniors
Heys Parker and
Sanjheev Rao were among the honorees.
After spending the fall season abroad, Parker returned to the Generals' lineup and played all his matches this season from the No. 1 position. Parker posted seven wins and went 4-2 in ODAC play, while adding an 8-6 doubles record with teammate
Henry Imorde. Parker also played all of his doubles matches this season at No. 1.
Off the court, Parker is a business administration and Spanish double-major who has collected four W&L Scholar Athlete citations, two ODAC All-Academic Team laurels and two ITA Scholar Athlete accolades.
Rao notched a 13-9 record in singles play this season and went 10-13 in doubles while being part of five different doubles teams. In singles, Rao held down No. 6 duties with an 11-7 record there and a 5-2 mark in conference matches. Rao mostly featured at No. 2 doubles this season where he went 9-11, which included a 5-5 mark with teammate
Justin Ilie.
In the classroom, Rao has been a banner student, as a chemistry and economics double-major. He is the recipient of the Chemistry award, is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society and treasurer and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Rao also works as a W&L Peer Tutor for mathematics, chemistry and economics, and is a Chemistry Lab TA.
The Generals claimed the 2026 ODAC Men's Tennis championship this season before concluding their year in the NCAA Tournament second round against No. 8 Carnegie Mellon.
