No. 45 Generals wrap up ODAC play with sweep of Guilford

LEXINGTON, Va. – The No. 45 Washington and Lee men's tennis team completed its 10th straight undefeated ODAC season with a 7-0 victory at home against Guilford on Tuesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Generals (9-9, 8-0 ODAC) won at No. 1 and 2 doubles plus a win by default at No. 3. The reigning ODAC Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week of Heys Parker and Henry Imorde lost only two games at No. 1, while Justin Ilie and Sanjheev Rao lost one game at No. 2.
  • First-year Harrison Silver and sophomore Ryan Good featured in the singles lineup at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, and both posted 6-0, 6-0 wins. Their victories clinched the match for the Blue and White with the Quakers (2-13, 2-5 ODAC) forfeiting at No. 6.
  • First-year Todd Cannaliato won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, Imorde was a 6-2, 6-3 victor at No. 2 and Parker rounded out the win with a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • In limited singles action this season, Silver and Good improved their singles records to 5-1 and 4-1, respectively.
  • The Generals capped off their 10th straight perfect season in ODAC play, with their last regular season ODAC loss coming on April 17, 2016. They have won 85 straight regular season conference matches.
UP NEXT:
The Generals will wrap up their regular season on Friday, April 24, with a 2:00 p.m. first serve against Division II Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.
