W&L Men’s Tennis wraps up regular season at Division II Rollins

WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Washington and Lee men's tennis team completed its 2025-26 regular season schedule on Friday, falling by a 7-0 final against Division II Rollins College.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Sophomore Sahil Arora and first-year Pearce Lane highlighted the Generals' (9-10) efforts on the day with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
  • Richard Stoiberer and Pete Tran (1), along with Mo Anterist and Fabian Gusic (2), won in doubles for the Tars (18-2) to secure the doubles point. Stoiberer's and Tran's match was close, however, at No. 1 against junior Heys Parker and first-year Henry Imorde.
  • Parker and Imorde both took five games off their opponents at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Parker fell in the second set, 6-1, against Lawson Prather, while Imorde took two games off Gusic in the second.
  • Tran (5) and Pietro Cappellaro (6) both posted 6-0, 6-1 wins, while Stoiberer and Anterist rounded out the Tars' wins at Nos. 3 and 4. Stoiberer downed Lane, 6-2, 6-3, while Anterist defeated first-year Justin Ilie, 6-2, 6-1. 
UP NEXT:
The Generals will return to the courts for the ODAC quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 28. The opponent and start time for the match are to be determined. Regular season play in the ODAC will wrap up on Saturday, and the ODAC will announce seedings in the days following.
