HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Generals (10-10) clinched the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 3. Sophomore Sahil Arora and first-year Pearce Lane were 6-0 victors at No. 3, before junior Heys Parker and first-year Henry Imorde secured the point, 6-3, at No. 1.
  • First-year Justin Ilie picked up the first singles point for the Blue and White with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Ian Michel at No. 4. Imorde won both his sets, 6-2, at No. 2, followed by a 6-2, 6-3 win from Parker at No. 1 to clinch the victory.
  • Arora was mid-match point on Court 5 at the time the match was clinched. Playing the point out, Arora secured a win of his own, 6-1, 6-2, for a fifth W&L team point.
  • Lane and junior Sanjheev Rao went unfinished in singles, but both led their opponents at match's end. Lane was up a set and tied, 4-4, in the second at No. 3, while Rao held a 1-0 lead in the first set at No. 6 after coming on following Ilie's win.
