3/16/2026 2:00:00 PM

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Washington and Lee University men's track and field team garnered thirteen All-South Region honors by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The top-eight performances in each event, including relays, earn the distinction of All-Region in the ten regions. The Generals' 13 All-Region honorees mark the second-most in program history during the indoor season.

First-years DJ McDonough and Macky Gartley, as well as junior William Dunaway, highlighted the squad with two citations each. McDonough and Gartley earned laurels in the 4x400m relay alongside John Daniels and Connor LaCour as they posted the second-fastest time in the South Region with a time of 3:18.59. McDonough also earned an individual citation in the 800m, posting a program-record time of 1:52.60. Gartley led the region in the 60m hurdles after posting a program-record time of 8.04s in the event, which helped him punch his ticket to nationals and earn Second Team All-America honors.

Dunaway picked up a pair of citations in the 3,000m and 5,000m. He ranked third in the 5k during the indoor season after posting a time of 14:32.74 at the ODAC Championships while ranking fifth in the 3k with a time of 8:28.83, which he posted at the Joe LaRocco Invite on Feb. 14.
