Gartley Earns Second Team All-America Honors at NCAA Indoor Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - First-year Macky Gartley of the Washington and Lee University men's track and field team earned Second Team All-America honors at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships on Friday afternoon. 

Gartley, who came into the National meet with the 8th-fastest time in the field at 8.04s, ran in heat one of three in the prelims of the 60m hurdles. He finished fourth in his heat and 12th overall after crossing the finish line in a time of 8.14s. His performances helped him earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Second Team All-American honors, the first of his career.

The Generals will shift their focus to the outdoor season which opens up on Friday, March 20th at the W&L Carnival.
