  • The Blue and White extended their lead to six in the bottom of the third as they plated four runs on five hits. Nathan DeWitte led off the frame with a single to right center before swiping second base. Alex Caywood singled before stealing second to put a pair of runners in scoring position. DeWitte came around to score on an unusual wild pitch walk to give W&L a 3-0 lead. N. Caywood drove in his brother on another single to right center.
  • Thornton came around to score on a ground out before Teague drove in N. Caywood for the second time with a single to right field, giving the Blue and White a 6-0 lead.
  • In the top of the 4th, the Cougars (6-9) got on the board as Drew Skinner singled and Austin Ford doubled to put runners in scoring position. A sacrifice fly drove in Skinner before Nathan Michalowicz singled into left center to cut the Generals' lead to four.
  • Rogish led off the bottom of the 6th with a single up the middle before Landen Rucker reached via catcher's interference. After both runners moved up on a steal, Jonathan French drove in Rogish on a sacrifice fly to put W&L up 7-2.
  • Averett had the bases loaded in the top of the 8th as Ryan Toney and Luke Keister drew walks while Maddox Jordan reached on an error. Skinner drove a ball into left field, driving in Toney on a sacrifice fly to make it 7-3.
  • In the next half inning, Rogish found himself in scoring position after singling and stealing second before crossing the plate on a Rucker single down the left-field line to put the Generals in front by five.
  • The Cougars made it interesting in the 9th as back-to-back singles and a walk loaded the bases with one out in the inning. Maddox Jordan cleared the bases with a double to left field to make it a two-run game, but Brody Pasieka forced a flyout and groundout to secure the 8-6 win.

Oakley Rempel knotted the game at one as he legged out a triple to right-center, scoring on the next at-bat on a French single. A. Caywood wore a pitch to put a pair of runners on before an errant throw from Averett's third baseman allowed French to score from second, giving W&L a 3-1 lead.
  • Just like the 5th, Ford led off the 6th inning for the Cougars with a double to right-center before Tyler Lowe doubled into the left-center gap to make it a one-run game.
