LEXINGTON, Va. — The No. 12-ranked Washington and Lee University men's wrestling team delivered a strong all-around performance Friday night, defeating McDaniel College, 31–10, in a non-conference dual that featured seven bouts with regionally or nationally ranked competitions.
The Generals won eight of 10 bouts and piled up four bonus-point victories, using depth across the lineup and a decisive middle-weight surge to pull away.
Washington and Lee opened the dual with three straight wins and never relinquished control. After McDaniel briefly cut into the margin at 149, the Generals responded with five consecutive victories — including a fall and a tech fall — to build an insurmountable lead.
