Men’s Swimming Honored, Six Generals Tabbed as First Team Scholar All-America

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - The Washington and Lee University men's swimming team earned the recognition of College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Spring Scholar All-America while six student-athletes earned First Team Scholar All-America honors

The Blue and White earned the honor after registering a team grade point average of 3.80, the third-highest GPA in Division III this season, under the head coach Kami Gardner. To earn the prestigious honor, teams are required to achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the spring semester. In total, 763 teams and 18,459 student-athletes were recognized for their academic achievements this season.

Six student-athletes earned the distinction of First Team Scholar All-America for their impressive performances in the classroom and in the pool. To be recognized individually, student-athletes must have a 3.5 or higher. First Team honorees have to participate at the national championship while second team honorees must meet a B-cut time standard or qualify for a diving zone qualification meet.

The Generals hoisted their tenth Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship this season while turning in a 19th place finish at the NCAA Championshp, their highest finish since 2018.
